About Kiowa Ghost Gill "Gilly"

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Color: Light Fawn

Kiowa Ghost Gill whose call name at the track was "Gilly" is an adorable little girl. She is so pretty and cute. Gilly is friendly, affectionate and calm.  One of the volunteers described her as "a real dream of a dog"--what a great description. She has the sweetest face with soft eyes. She also walks great on leash. Gilly is 2 years old and cat tolerant with supervision.

Her pictures do not do her justice as it was pouring down rain and we know how greyhounds feel about rain--LOL.
Foster Update 4/16/2016

KIOWA
GHOST GILL

What an adorable, lovey-dovey girl! Say hello to Kiowa
Ghost Gill (Gilly). Born November 25, 2013, Gilly is a very calm, sweet girl,
though she does have her moments of endearing and happy exuberance. Here’s what
you need to know about this pretty girl:

  • Very affectionate––this girl loves to give kisses
  • Good with our 4 cats, generally ignoring them. She does get interested in what they’re doing, but not in a keen way––she’s more observing them
  • Good with our dog-friendly kids, ages 10 and 14
  • Great leash walker
  • No accidents in the house
  • Eats well and has not shown signs of food
aggression; in fact, she’s been known to barge into the water bowl or food bowl that is otherwise occupied. We strongly discourage this as most dogs don’t tolerate this from another dog. She corrects well when we see her doing
    this
  • No signs of space aggression. As a matter of fact, even though there are many dog beds downstairs and in our room, she and another foster often share a dog bed - generally spooning. It's very cute.
  • Travels well in the car
  • Crates well while we are at work
  • Takes direction and corrections well (e.g., if there's an attempt to counter surf, a
quick "Hey!" is all that is needed to redirect
  • Mastered the stairs
