Adoption Pending !

Tathiana, call name "Lola" is a stately 8 year old brood mama. She is very friendly and quiet and cat tolerant with supervision. She is in a foster home so more information will follow.

Foster Update:
Lola learned carpeted stairs in about 6 days and last weekend expanded her talents to wooden stairs - no problem. We're working on some basic obedience - she's learning "wait", good manners before starting to eat her dinner, "down". She comes when called, walks quietly at my side on the leash and is curious but polite when she meets other dogs. She's learning to "perform" when asked to eliminate outside. Her few accidents in the house have been tiny and I think mostly my fault for not noticing that she was stressed or asking to go out (she comes to me - doesn't go to the door.)

This weekend she went to the beach and just loved it! She became so animated - frisked around like a puppy! She would have loved to have been taken off her leash to run up and down with my sister's spaniel.

She's great with kids - just a quiet gentle dog. She likes to be in whatever room I'm in. Because she's so gentle on the leash I can see her with an older person who wants a quiet dog s/he won't trip over (since small dogs are hard for older people to see and move too quickly to be kept track of). I think a family with children would also be fine as she's been fine with the children she's met. She may be okay as an "only dog" so long as she has regular and frequent "people" contact.
