Nitro TD Glen who is now named "Minki" was recently relinquished through no fault of his own. It was reported that he is a happy dog who gets along with other dogs and is good with cats but the family felt that with their 18 month old toddler it best to return Minkie.  Minki is in foster care and doing quite well.  Below is an up to date update from his current foster family.  Minki is 6 years old.
Foster Update 11/10/2014
 I feel like our family has won the fostering lottery with this beautiful big guy settling into our home so effortlessly.

Minki turned 6 on June 8th.  He is a large, lean boy, right around 70 lbs. Despite his size, Minki prefers to think of himself as a lap dog that would cuddle with you all day long!

In just the two weeks Minki has been with our family we have discovered such wonderful things about this big guy.  He has not had one "accident" since being here, and there are no problems with any floors including tile, or wood, and is proficient in going up or down a flight of stairs.

Being great on his leash, he loves to take walks, sometimes getting excited to explore different things, but a little reminder to walk nicely is all he needs.

Our family consists of two young cats and an older (14) medium mix dog, and Minki has settled right in with everyone.  He is great with our cats, and these are two cats that want to know everything about him.  What he's eating, what he's drinking, how long his tail is, and he has had no problems sharing this information with them!  At first Minki had a little growling issue with my old girl, but with every day he gets better. I believe Minki was stressed about moving and looking for attention to let him know that it was ok for him to relax.  He is that special Grey that would do very well as an only dog, or with another Grey.

Minki loves being on a routine. Eating at the same time day and night makes this boy very happy! He also puts himself to bed at about 9:30pm, this includes having a little drink of water and then going into his crate and passing out! I leave his crate open during the day when I'm here, and if he feels like it he will take a nap there during the day, but at night he knows where he can get peace and quiet.  There is no protesting, no whining, and no crying at night.

Minki is bed protective but working very hard to change that, and is doing very well, with this detail I feel he would do best with older children.  He has taken a special liking to my son who is 24 because he will sit and love on him but also can take him out and run with him, the best of both worlds. In the short time we have opened our home to him he is already playing with toys, sitting as he waits for his dinner, and is able to give paws.  Not only is he a beauty, but very intelligent!

My family has fostered before and Minki is one of those Greys that just steals your heart.  He longs to be next to you and only wishes to please you. Minki is the Grey who will very easily adapt to his surroundings, as he has done here.

Nitro Tb Glen is a big, gorgeous boy who is calm and sweet.  He is friendly and sweet--just a big Teddy bear and love bug.  He really enjoyed all of the lavish attention that he was getting.  We all thought that Glen is really special.  He is 2 years old. Cat tolerant with supervision.

Foster Update:             Nitro Glen has moved into a foster home--

"Nitro is adjusting well in our home with Frannie our current Grey. Nitro is a big mush and LOVES toys! He was here 1 day and mastered the steps already! Amazing...mostly because he didn't want to sit downstairs by himself!

He is learning about hardwood floors and he is smart so this should be an easy thing for him to master.  He walks nicely on the leash and enjoys seeing new things and hearing new noises outside (and inside).

He loves to put his head right on our laps just to be petted for as long as he can stand! He will be going to a family Thanksgiving this year and everyone is excited to meet him. Nitro is truly a sweetheart, patient for food, no counter surfing at this time, very friendly and loves the company of Frannie and people. What a sweet boy he is!!! We love him already which was easy to do with his sweet temperment! Nitro would enjoy children as he is always ready to squeek toys and act silly. Whatta gem!"

Foster Update 11/28

Nitro joined us for Thanksgiving. He was a huge hit, everyone adored him! He has been more confident walking on the hard floor. He loves to play with his toys and just wants to please us. We will be bringing Nitro to the Craft Fair on Sat Dec 11. Come meet this sweet big boy!
